Celluloid Tunes # 57: Trevor Rabin in Oslo (19th International Edition)
On June 7th, legendary prog band Yes visited Oslo for their 50th anniversary tour, including longtime member Trevor Rabin. The South African composer and guitarist is also a renowned film composer, so we had the opportunity to sit down for a 30 minute talk about his career so far — encompassing famous hits such as Armageddon, Enemy of the State, Deep Blue Sea, Con Air, Snakes on a Plane and more. Ranging from power anthems to undiluted orchestral Americana, Rabin is one of the most recognizable composers in Hollywood, and a longtime collaborator of super-producer Jerry Bruckheimer (counting 13 films so far).

Rick Jon and I didn’t come into ARW in a vacuum.
We were all very busy. Other career interests don’t just disappear. We all fully intend to carry on doing what we were doing while putting full energy into YES.
Indeed, Trevor. This was an interview primarily about your film work, so it was natural to ask about your future in that arena. I never got the impression in our talk that the Yes gigs were winding down. Quite the contrary. Thanks for a great Oslo concert, btw.
