Reply To: Anybody here ever played HITSTER?
I did play it a couple of times, last year with a befriended couple. To my own great surprise, I actually won!
There are a few rules and this and that, but the basic concept goes like this:
You hear a clip from a song (there are cards with codes that are scanned to play the clip from Spotify) and you place that song where you think is the correct spot in relation to other songs on a timeline. Now naturally, this is easy at first (say, you hear a Lady Gaga song, and then a Beatles song, and then a Madonna song, chances are you know that Beatles is older than Madonna is older than Lady Gaga), but the more songs are “on the table” so to speak, the more difficult it will be to place a song exactly before or after the other songs on a timeline. Other players can challenge and check whether your placement is correct to score or lose points.
It’s a fun game, we played the “regular” edition. (I suppose if there’s an actual film music edition, most “civilians” would not have a chance against us.. but would of course be a great game to play in this crowd here. 🙂 )
