I must have missed this thread earlier, because I would surely have remembered those clips from RAUMPATROUILLE. That dancing scene is hilarious! I don’t think I’ve heard about RAUMPATROUILLE before, but I’m a fan of vintage sci-fi shows, so I’ll have to check this out on YouTube.
Yeah, if you’re interested in vintage sci-fi, it’s definitely worth a look. Old, black and white, lots of actual talent before and behind the camera. As I said, it was done at a time when there really weren’t any sci-fi shows, and hardly any sci-fi movies. Set designer Rolf Zehetbauer really got a lot of mileage out of common and cheap items to dress up the futuristic sets.
And those background dances… in an underwater casino! I think the idea that these people have to steer spaceships/submarines under the sea to get drunk down there is just something you don’t see anymore. 😀
