Back in the day of regular shop scanning I bought lots of blind buys just out of interest. Of course there were some unnecessary ones but it was the only way to learn about a few things as well. I rarely do that anymore since you can sample almost everything beforehand which is good since price raising makes such blind buys “dangerous” 😉
