Alan Parsons cancelled his Oslo gig on June 18th. The festival cited ‘health reasons’ (I know that he’s been struggling with back issues recently), while Parsons cited ‘scheduling conflicts’ on his Facebook page. But it’s weird, because 5 new dates were added in Spain just a FEW DAYS LATER. What the hell is going on?

I’m bummed that I won’t be able to see him live now either. He’s one of the few top, top favourite artists of mine that I’ve never seen live. I wonder if he will ever come to Norway.

BUT…there is a silver lining. I hadn’t bought a ticket yet, as I struggle with money and health problems. I thought maybe I would buy one in the last minute, if there were any available (and there were). So that’s lucky, as there doesn’t appear to be any refunds to those who did (you had to buy a pass for the whole day, as he was part of a lineup during a festival). PLUS, it collides with another thing in my schedule. So ‘luck in unluck’, as we say over here. I believe a ‘blessing in disguise’ is the equivalent English expression.
