Just to note that Lalaland had actually posted the full article for free reading on Facebook (probably NYT would not really be happy about that ;-)).
“Every filmscore deserves to be presented and enjoyed in complete recorded form” and “There is no film music worth listening to on album that wasn’t on the original soundtrack album” makes sense.
Indeed that is too extreme in both ways for me, too. And I also think Thor is (often) right.
