No need to be sorry 😉 Indeed BSX/DD (for me that is all one actually) do relase interesting stuff. They probably can being “under the radar” a bit… And thtey also offer downloads only that have a bit lesser costs.
Lalaland and the others often alsos have the advantage or disadvantage that they have no digital rights. Varese seems to have and has generally the most expensive prices for downloads. Lossless is at CD level mostly. You have to look where you buy downloads (their bandcamp is a bit cheaper btw.)

Though digital releases make it possible… you could just buy/download the tracks or parts of a release that you want.

Indeed, although with albums that have more than a few tracks it is often more expensive to buy one or two tracks than just buying the whole album.
