BACKDRAFT was good, and an example of this sound, but can’t compare to the popularity of CRIMSON TIDE and especially THE ROCK. The latter was a door-opener for a whole new generation of film music fans.
Yes, CRIMSON TIDE had the “fully developed power anthem” and the ROCK “finalized” it. I just meant to me BACKDRAFT was the first where it really surfaced nearly ready and not just shades of it like in BLACK RAIN.
