    THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY is a favourite of mine. The opening theme always reminded me of The Alan Parsons Project’s “Gold Bug”. Dig the whole CD, including the songs. And the film.

    I have the LP since the late 80s and dig it as well. I think it was a bargain and blind buy even! I only saw the movie conciously a few years ago! Too bad that it was recording in mono or at least no stereo elements survived (the later 2CD edition had a fake stereo mix only).

    Interestingly I also always found it sounded like Alan Parsons, athough no one of them is involved. Monkman has a very loose connection to them as he indeed appears as a guest on harpsichod on TALES OF MYSTERY AND IMAGINATION “House of Usher” suite on “Pavane”. Seems to have been his only time.
