There is certainly a general pattern with openess or the lack thereof. In may aspect and it repeats in every generation it seems.

I had to work hard on my appreciation of dissonance and classical music in general. Neither music in school nor my parents I really got me into that. But growing older I notice a tendency to music from the formative years (as Thor always calls them). Of course this is what drives various kinds of “nostalgia”.
