I believe that more often than not this similarity thing is a coincidence and not a copy. But it can be a little annoying if you are unable to not hear it. Like I always hear Fiedel’s Terminator theme in John Williams’ trumpet intro of Born On The 4th Of July and you feel “No, that is wrong. The melody should continue differently”.
