As I said, kind of a more varied version of Angela’s Prayers.
As you may or may not remember, ANGELA’S ASHES is my second favourite JW score of all time, and “Angela’s Prayer” one of my top favourite compositions that he ever wrote. So that’s a VERY high bar for anything. But yes – I can definitely hear shades of his religious/pastoral sound after the AMISTAD “quote”, which is why I got excited for a moment. I doubt the rest of the score is like that, though.
