Anyone else feeling the “musically more mellow when you get older” theory, as Nick called it earlier?
Can’t say I subscribe to that theory. I am still probably drawn to the more bombastic than the mellow, more the coarse rather than the refined. More the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE rather than DISCLOSURE DAY (based on what I have heard of them both).
And don’t assume I like one and dislike the other. Williams’ “later…” is a moving piece that I feel is a wonderful piece that is a fine reflection on Williams. But I think that I would rather listen to Pemberton.
