It’s for me the same in music, movies, literature, philosophy, politics… did I get more mellow with age? I don’t think so. Maybe I did? How could I gage it? Self assessment: I’d say no, I’m not more mellow. More mature, perhaps, more and more fine tuned and varied, but never more mellow. Art, music, movies, literature, philosophy, politics, is about truth… that is the only thing that matters. I can find that in a gentle nocturne or in a cacophony of abrasion, it only matters that it is “true”.
