    Just saw for the first time The Game (1997), directed by David Fincher, with Michael Douglas. I had no idea who did the score, but the tone row piano lines reminded me of Jerry’s The Mechanic, which is my favorite Jerry score and, IIRC, Jim Phelps’s favorite score period. At the end of the film, I found out it was Howard Shore, whom I know primarily (but not exclusively) through Cronenberg.
