    Yes, but as those labels are mostly funded by my aforementioned aficionados, it kind of proves my point. It’s not that I never find Goldsmith scores in a second-hand store, they’re just less common than Williams, Horner, or Barry. At least, in my experience. I’ve had to buy most of them off eBay or Discogs.

    It is very coherent, and very well done. I love it, but I think “accessible serialism” is a bit of a contradiction in terms. I think for your average film score fan, or general music enthusiast, the Second Viennese School is something of a rubicon. Melody sells.
