Interesting topic. I know what you mean… not “Main or End Titles”, as these are just basically always played standalone in concerts, they are the “hits” of film music, but you’re referring to cues that could just stand on their own, without being embedded into the larger composition.
I remember 25 years ago in rec.music.movies I said that exact thing about “Toccata & Dreamscapes” from Elliot Goldenthal’s FINAL FANTASY score. That’s just a self contained concert piece. (Of course, it also works embedded into the album structure.) Or Jerry Goldsmith’s “The Hijacking (Parts I & II)” from AIR FORCE ONE, I wish that play that in concerts!
But I have to watch the game now and can’t search or think of more at this time.
