Yes – the same source material. Originally “The Berlin Memorandum”, the George Segal / Max von Sydow film was a decent stab at the book, apart from making Quiller an American. Adam Hall (a pseudonym of Elleston Trevor) wrote 19 Quiller novels,from 1966 up to his death in 1996. Along with the Fleming Bond books, this was a series of spy stories that I read and re-read.
