The question is — what DO you listen to when you have your “down” periods? What do you listen to, Dr. Jacoby?
This is the biggest film music slump I’ve experienced, stretching into two years. I’ve been listening to jazz, singers of the so-called Great American Songbook, downtempo electronica, and electronic/space music, the latter of which does include a few soundtracks. I’ve also been listening to less music in general, as I’ve been focused on my own music.
