I just got back from seeing SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY, and I loved it! Some of the best swinging that’s been depicted too! Colorful and high contrast imagery with a great story and emotional heart – I’m so impressed that those involved really seem to care about the characters and not just the CGI spectacle.
In sad news, however, I found out that our local movie theater is closing in 2 weeks! It will be forever gone and we’ll have no movie theater within 60 miles. Such a shame. It’s going to be hard to see anything during theatrical release from here on out, unless I want to drive an hour and make a whole day of it. 🙁 Probably other movies theaters aren’t that far behind, are your local ones still hanging on? I thought if any summer could save the theater it would be this one with Project Hail Mary, The Odyssey, Spider-man 4, Dune 3 and Avengers: Doomsday all coming out this year. Alas it was not to be.
