Just watched Harry Dean Stanton’s final film, Lucky (2017). It alternately reminded me of David Lynch’s Straight Story and Clint Bentley’s Train Dreams.
I just saw it available on the Criterion Channel. Been meaning to check that out. I had a Stanton phase after his death awhile back, and watched the brilliant documentary HARRY DEAN STANTON: PARTLY FICTION (2012) at the time, which was one of the best “film discoveries” I made that year.
