Have watched the new Spiderman as well. I really don’t know what to think, because my sons were so excited and liked it so much. In my eyes at first the movie was a big Palantir advertisement. Because Spiderman is using a big bunch of surveillance technology to supervise the city and hunt for criminals. And this is not questioned at all in the movie.
Maybe because this is more common to do in the US than over here? I have the impression that we over here are much more stricter and concerned about such privacy related things… And that surveillance stuff is overly present and common for years in movies and serires (only think of 24!). And it rarely has been questioned (except maybe some movies like ENEMY OF THE STATE if I recall right).
And I had a hard time to understand why Peter is staying away from his friends but at the same time following them permanently and using fake names.
Haven’t seen it but sounds weird because of the previous movie I think no one remembers him anyway, right?
And again Jean Grey was about to kill thousands of peaple. How often have ee seen that now?
Good that the net spoilered me unwantedly already in case I see this at some time 😉
