I always loved DEEP IMPACT (I definitely prefer it to the back-to-back composed score for TITANIC), but find the original soundtrack album quite well. I recently listened to it again, I don’t think at all it’s too long, it holds up very well the way it is constructed, I wouldn’t give up a single minute of it. (Not possible anyway, as even the shortest cues are all over 3 minutes long.) It’s true that the mix is low, however, that makes for some fine, wide dynamic range if you turn up the amplifier a bit.
