Well, I don’t have to imagine, I know it’s annoying when computers won’t do what you want them to do.
Yeah, I try to fight against that since the 80s 😉
However, I have (and have for quite some time) the strict philosophy of separating the “software” from my files. So whenever I change software, I just “direct” it to my files and it works. Mostly at least.
That works good with the files itself with iTunes/Apple Music as long as you don’t have playlists.
Thor, try to find the file where the Windows iTunes stores its cataloge. I somehow can only link to the German info page but maybe that helps:
