Yes, I know about the library file thing. So should cut down time somewhat if I re-install an older iTunes, or install MusicBee (which can read iTunes library files). But of course still a hassle. Right now, I’m in the process of “cleaning up” my collection of some 3000+ albums (whittling down certain albums, removing titles that should only be on my back-up, not on my hard drive, and so on).
Maybe one day, I’ll get up to snuff to Nick’s fancy-schmanzy solutions! 😀
