I sampled the score after you mentioned it, and found it uninteresting. But yes — sometimes you’re in the mood for a straightforward creature feature with no ambitions beyond that. I can picture myself checking this out at some point. In the “shark genre”, there are few that actually succeed. I can only think of three. JAWS, obviously, which is in a class of its own. But also Renny Harlin’s DEEP BLUE SEA and Jon Turtletaub’s THE MEG.
