I love his score for AUGUST (a film he directed and starred in as well). I’ve been meaning to check out that new album; he was never a very complex composer (unlike his acting — he’s my second favourite actor of all time!), but it’s all very professional. His musical background shines through. It’s nice that he’s getting some late-career recognition for that side of his work.
