Interested to see how this forum develops, and would be particularly interested to hear about Norwegian and other Scandinavian film music-related news.

I’m a Scotsman who used to work in England and lives in Wales. But then you knew this already.

I’ve been listening to film music ‘seriously’ since I first heard John Williams’ STAR WARS back in 1977. But, looking back on it now, my enjoyment of the genre started even before this – I had a keen interest in TV themes and that interest would sometimes be higher for the theme than for the show itself. I’m a big fan of music giants such as Bernard Herrmann, Jerry Goldsmith, Elliot Goldenthal and Howard Shore, but my tastes are quite broad.

I try and keep my own film music review blog ‘ticking over’ with reviews and awards news – https://reelmusic.wordpress.com – and, in this blog I try and highlight some of the lesser-known scores from smaller films.
