Wow, what an interesting set!
The STALKER/THE MIRROR/SOLARIS CD that Nick mentioned, that was released years ago, is one of my most prized possessions.
And obviously, Tarkovsky is a big favourite of mine, just outside the top 10 directors. Love “slow cinema”.
As I said in the “do you separate between person and composer” thread, I’ve been hesitant to start a thread on Artemiev. But now that he’s brought up, I have to recommend the MASSIVE Anthology sets, which cover a great deal of his early career. I’ve made my own “Best Of” playlists of those sets. I have LOTS to say about Artemiev!
