Not really listening but one of our local public broadcaster has a short and rare film composer portrait:

I have to say I am not familiar with his name but he apparently wrote a lot of documentary scores I need t check out. But I do remember the 80s hit song he wrote:

Another German composer that has his roots in 80s pop music. Reinhold Heil is another one, although more coming from punk/rock.
