I love Elliot Goldenthal, and for me, if pressed, Alien 3 is still his magnum opus… that score is just… wow! It got everything. Hyperaggressive and snarling atonal passages out to attack you as well as some of Goldenthal’s most poetically mythic writing, it’s just a powerhouse of a score. But I love just about everything he’s done, but Alien 3 will be very hard to top. It’s just one of the best film scores.
