I’ve enjoyed a fair amount of his scores and tend to like his orchestral works best, such as KNOWING, LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD, A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD and GODS OF EGYPT. SEVENTH SON and UNDERWORLD: EVOLUTION were also really nice surprises. His orchestral action material is kinetic and muscular, with some excellent ostinatos and repeated riffs, which I really love. But I don’t think I warmed to his horror scores as much, which I know is how he gained the most attention.
