I wouldn’t call THE FINAL CONFLICT calm, but it has a little bit less of the doom and gloom horror of the first, that’s true. And GREMLINS 2 is just through-composed better, more lush and funky at the same time. As if there’s more budget somehow. Same as PREDATOR 2 is vastly superior to PREDATOR, IMO.
