Batt is mostly known for writing the gobsmackingly beautiful song “Bright Eyes” from WATERSHIP DOWN (one of my favourite film songs), but he did lots of stuff, including fullblown film scores like this 1978 effort – delicious Middle Eastern exotica, orchestra, those east-meets-west tropes I dig so much.
