Damn, very sorry to read that Klaus Doldinger has died, age 89. 🙁

THE NEVERENDING STORY is one of my favourite scores of all time, and DAS BOOT is obviously a classic. As we’ve discussed in the “German film music” thread.

I’ve sampled some other bits and bobs over the years, but always had the intention to dig deeper — into both the Passport stuff and other scores (like TATORT, whatever is available), but never got around to it. Now is a good opportunity to do so.
