I was really bummed that I was unable to attend the WSA in Ghent this year (money, tinnitus and all that), as Rahman was the honorary guest. But just now, I found a clip on YouTube from the award ceremony/concert. Here he is performing a solo piano version of his iconic, haunting “Bombay Theme” from the film of the same name, the score of which is one of my own personal favourites and the middle film of Mani Ratnam’s socalled ‘terrorist trilogy’ encompassing ROJA, BOMBAY and DIL SE.
