IMHO film scores use the same vocabulary but are more direct and to the point, be it theme variation like or in instrumentation. It far less subtle. But on the radio they often play the main theme highlights anyway that are totally to the point. On classic scores of the Golden Age it is surey far less different but for newer ones surely is.

For some film music at least “newer ones” it might also be the production technical stuff itself. There are often differently recordded which results in a different sound than a classical recording.
