Ah, cool, didn’t know that one. How great would have been a guitar concerto from Wiliams for Williams!
Most people are not set up to play their own music anymore, they are set up for streaming and even if there might be a few albums only available on CD (or download), most people are probably not set up to rip and/or play them.
Indeed, most computers don’t have a CD/DVD devide anymore – I had to buy an external one for my new computer, too. A mobile and some bluetooth speaker – which can really sound surprisingly good by now – will do for most nowdays. And without a speciality taste like we they won’t even care that some albums may not be available or disappear over time. I know even some that prefer music in concert as the real thing instead of listening to recorded music.
Files are complicated, you have to backup and such which “normal people” always forget anyway 🙂
