Hi.
I was first an LP man, then a CD man, and now a high-res digital man. I ripped my collection of CDs and then bought individual downloads to get 24 bit albums. That’s when Qobuz came out with a great collection of 24 bit titles and I succumbed to buying a subscription. Now I can pretty much get everything through Qobuz which is a lot cheaper!
I listen on a Linn Akurate system, which is lovely.
I delve into a bit of pop-rock nostalgia every once in a while, but otherwise I’m increasingly a “classical” and “soundtrack” man. As an amateur composer of soundtracks and stuff myself, I sometimes listen to what I’m writing through headphones, but otherwise it’s only B&W for me!
