Yes, there seems to be a systematic flaw in place, compared to many other democracies. It’s a fascinating system, socalled “checks and balances”, but also one that is easy to take advantage of for a few powerful people. I cross my fingers for the November elections; we’re definitely watching with vigilant eyes here from the other side of the world.
