Yes. In their youth the boomers generation was much less wealthy than the young people today. But they weŕe living with a conciousness of everything getting better and being on the good path. Now we find out that this path of globalization and western capitalism and western values was at the cost of environmental damage and heavy double standards. Now there are two different conclusions. First one: The basic idea was good but now equality and our moral standards really for everyone including enforcement by cancel culture. And the other conclusion: It all was a lie. Let’s uncover the selfishness and at least lets honestly be selfish. What both movements have in common: They are terribly agressive and not willing for compromises which are crucial for a peaceful living.
Obvious to mention that the agression on both sides is rooted in fear and uncertainty which is a consequence of lack of experience with handling of extreme life situations.
My grandmother was an extraordinarily optimistic person. And she lost everything twice in her life. Once in the economic crisis in the.1920s and once in world war II.
This experience of losing everything and getting back up on your feet helps you a lot to face challenges in life and to remain modest.
