Graham WattParticipantReinstate my post? I can’t remember what I said.

Thor Joachim HagaKeymasterI can’t remember either, but I intended to post an “Unfair!” comment to that bit about a bottle of wine costing 3 Euros in Spain, and then your post disappeared. Annoying, and I apologize.

Thor Joachim HagaKeymasterLaidback evening tonight. Had a San Miguel gluten free beer (didn’t realize it was gluten free when I bought it, I want as much gluten as possible!), followed by a Hansa IPA Extra now. Summer hasn’t quite taken hold, it’s grey, but relatively mild.
Cheers!

Thor Joachim HagaKeymasterThere is a big run passing by my window today, so I’ll be watching that (and praise the lord I’m not participating), then heading downtown for my cousin’s 30th birthday later.
Managed to have a booze-free Friday yesterday, so will remedy some of that today. A few Ringnes strong beers, nothing fancy. Maybe the draft beer from Nøgne Ø (a brewery from my hometown). No wine, I think.

Graham WattParticipantHey, are we going to have a Cheers “live chat” sometime soon? It’ll be like Andy Warhol’s TRASH, only with less action.

Thor Joachim HagaKeymasterYup! It was originally intended for June this year, but the tinnitus issue came in the way. Now we’re looking at late August instead.

Thor Joachim HagaKeymasterI’ve found that red wine (and only red wine) has a relaxing effect on my severe tinnitus, at least for a few hours. From half a bottle and beyond. So after a couple of beers now — a Ringnes special and a Chimay (on CAN, didn’t know they had that!) — I’m on to South African red wine. Twiga Hill, to be precise. It has the shiraz grape in it, which is powerful — good for my tinnitus, bad for my hiatal hernia. Needs to be balanced.
My hope is that I can listen to some music, and enjoy it, this Friday evening.
What’s your brew for the weekend?
19. September 2025 at 19:12 #5690
Jon AanensenParticipantI’m at a music quiz currently, it starts at 8. Just ordered a regular CB beer. Mild and tasty.

Thor Joachim HagaKeymasterWill you win, as usual?
20. September 2025 at 00:39 #5693
Jon AanensenParticipantNo victory today, as we missed the two most important members of the team.
4th place of 23 teams.

Thor Joachim HagaKeymasterAlright, it’s Friday…time to open up those taps!
Had a pretty productive day (finished an article, cleaned the apartment and myself), so ready to pop at 1.30 PM already. Some Norrland Pilsner (pictured), followed by a 1664 Lager now. On to some red or white wine later, I think.
10. October 2025 at 14:58 #5857
Thor Joachim HagaKeymaster…and on to this, appropriately named “Friday”, but is actually a French wine based on Grenache, Syrah and Carignan.

Nick ZwarParticipantCheers!

Thor Joachim HagaKeymasterAnyone planned anything for tonight or this weekend?
Had a classic Brooklyn East IPA, followed by Duvel’s devilish 6.66 Belgian Blonde. Just staying in alone and cooking. I prefer that over the big and boisterous parties these days.
Cheers?

Jon AanensenParticipantMeeting a couple of mates at six o’clock this evening at a pub. An hour or so later we are going to a live podcast/show at another place, about our local football team.
Tomorrow I am going to a match with said football team, before we eat at a local restaurant and then going to the cinema for seeing the new Springsteen film.
Sunday it’s dinner at my mother’s place.
So should be an enjoyable weekend.
