    Coincidence? I think NOT. 😀

The truth is out there! 🙂

I’ve just read (somewhere) that Kevin Kiner is scoring a new Star Wars project and there were two other Kiner’s along for the ride.
    It’s not what you know…

Hmmmm. Somehow, I’ve always thought of Kiner as a relatively young man, even if I’ve been aware of him since he did BLACK SCORPION in 1995. But looking him up, he’s actually 67! So obviously with adult kids now who follow in his footsteps. At some point, you simply lose track of the passing of time.

Cliff Eidelman is still 30, isn’t he? 😀

Haha, yeah. My thoughts exactly. I still think of the many young bucks who entered the game way after I’d been into it (John Powell, Mark Mancina, Michael Giacchino et al) as young composers, even though most are in their 60s and beyond now 😯
Cliffy is a year older than me, so yeah, still a young lad 😉

As are we, aren’t we? 😉 But I feel exactly like that, too…

Dr. Jacoby, you haven’t posted in this thread, but I found this amusing post of yours on FSM, from October 3, 2014, in a similar topic to this. I hope you don’t mind me reposting here (although these aren’t exclusively about following in their parent’s footsteps):

Ernest Gold had a son named Andrew, who had an uber-annoying 1976 US hit called “Lonely Boy.”

Jazz arranger and sometimes TV composer Marty Paich had a son named David, who was a member of the uber-annoying pop group Toto.

Dick Marx, pianist for Ken Nordine, whose word jazz albums might be considered soundtracks to the subconscious, had an uber-annoying son named Richard, who had dreadful pop career in the 1980s.

    Annoying? I don’t think so.

Andrew Gold was also in 80s pop group WAX.

Toto has some over-present hits maybe but hardly uber-annoying, too. And of course Williams’ son was (is?) their main singer most of the time which should not be forgotten on the occasion here 😉

Yes, and Joseph Williams scored a few things on his own (in addition to helping out his dad on a few occasions). Nothing remarkable, mostly TV, I suppose the most famous is the TV show MIRACLES.

I just came back from the film OBSESSION, and saw Rock Burwell credited as composer. Is he related to Carter? I couldn’t find any proof of that by googling.
