Since we don’t have any Jan Hammer topic, just read that there is a MIAMI VICE movie planned. I like John Murphy’s score for the 2006 film, even if there is no Hammer in it, as far as I recall (maybe over the end credits or something?). But can’t compare to the original series music, of course. In fact, the 2CD set that Hammer released in 2002 (“The Complete Collection”) is one of my dearest possessions, and got me through a lot of my master thesis writing all those years ago.
But yes — lots of other, unreleased music by Hammer, Truman, Petersen and others.

I don’t have that but the two albums (Escape from Television and Snapshots as LPs) that conist mostly of MIAMI VICE tracks, the three original MV LPs and some digital whatever from wherever with some more tracks.
But yes — lots of other, unreleased music by Hammer, Truman, Petersen and others.
Indeed, apparently a complicated matter of rights and lost tapes… Not sure if it would help if anyone released a huge box set as it would be very expensive 😉
That would be “the hammer” (“das ist der Hammer”, a German slang term for something great of at least my generation and probably a little dated nowadys ;-))
