It appears, that I own that album twice. Once the original album and as part of the Sony Conductor boxset. If we ever meet again, remind me, that I give you my second disc.

Nice, thanks! If I don’t acquire it from elsewhere before my next visit to Berlin (because I hope and think there will be one!), I’ll take you up on that! 🙂

Not interesting to anyone but me, but anyway.

A milestone — I’ve just finished going through my John Williams collection on CD. Kinda fitting that the last CD was a high quality video disc of the 2016 AFI Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony (which, interestingly, I was invited to, but I didn’t have the money to travel). I haven’t been listening every day, it’s been to and from. But looking back at this thread, I started on March 20. Today is July 11. That means I’ve spent 113 days on the John Williams collection alone.

I really hoped I would make that milestone before I went off (I will be away from my CD collection from late July and until early September). And I made it!

Now it’s on to Elfman. Also a huge collection that will take me a while.

But the goal I had, of getting through this by Christmas this year, is looking very unlikely, to say the least.

If I did a listening walkthrough of all Elfman scores I probably had a tinnitus by the end, too.
I like a lot of his music. But only well dosed.

Yes, it will be a challenge, for sure. I’m not the Elfman fan I used to be.
