I’ll probably ignore it as much as possible as usual. Maybe I will peek into for a few seconds if “our team” plays. But surely won’t view any full game…
11. June 2026 at 19:41 #11942Got your watching plan sorted out?
I have chips, I have beer, I’m all set for tonight. In any case, yeah, I try to see as many games as I can schedule.
14. June 2026 at 15:58 #11967Wow, Scotland managed to negotiate a potential banana skin against Haiti in the World Cup. Memories of shocking results against the likes of Peru, Zaire, Costa Rica and Iran in previous years still loom large in the psyche of Scottish fans when it comes to playing “minnows” in competition.
Our poor play needs to improve drastically if we are to get anywhere further, and us only scoring one goal may scupper our chances if things go to goal difference.
But, our first World Cup win and first goal in decades is worth celebrating in the here and now!
14. June 2026 at 19:21 #11969Short film festival over. On the deserted island now, with no boat, only 5G internet on phone. Watching Germany-Curacao, one way street, as expected. Haven’t seen anything so far, but if I understand Alan correctly, Scotland did well?
14. June 2026 at 19:23 #11970And then Curasao scores! Amazing!
14. June 2026 at 19:30 #11971I warned this could happen. Can’t help but celebrate with them, first World Cup and first World Cup Goal ever. Which means they will now fight as hell. Of course, the game will only be better for it now.
14. June 2026 at 20:11 #119724:1… okay, it’s going in the right direction.
15. June 2026 at 00:13 #11973I tune out of the one sided games (big nation vs minnows) cos they’re boring (and there’s gonna be quite a few this year, with 100+ games!!!).
Much better was the Holland/Japan game (well, the second half, when the game woke up). Much more tightly matched teams.
I’ve not bothered watching any early hours games. I value my beauty sleep too much.15. June 2026 at 14:48 #11976I heard “we” won a game. WAke me if “we” are entering the finals 😉
15. June 2026 at 19:57 #11979Cabo Verde!
17. June 2026 at 00:42 #11984Norway a pale shadow of our current form. 1-1 against Iraq at the moment.
17. June 2026 at 14:43 #119934-1 to Norway in the end.
17. June 2026 at 15:44 #11994I read, if you include the official FIFA secondary market the average ticket price is $13000. Prices are between $55 and 2 million $.
17. June 2026 at 19:29 #11995I wonder if anyone would be tempted by an asking price of $2 million for a ticket? And being on the secondary market there would be a risk of not being admitted?
17. June 2026 at 20:02 #11996Wouldn’t even spend $55 on the Portugal-Congo match. What a snoozefest.
17. June 2026 at 21:10 #11997But the two goals were great.
17. June 2026 at 22:45 #11998England-Croatia much better! Could England win the whole thing? Without Kane, no. With him, maybe.
17. June 2026 at 23:12 #11999Wow, that’s quite the game so far.
3:218. June 2026 at 19:57 #12000Hydration Breaks my arse!! Those fkn Yanks and their need for Ad Breaks knows no bounds.
They’ve turned a game of two halves into their stupid 4 quarters shit 👎18. June 2026 at 20:09 #12001Most definitely! Blame it on that twat Infantino. They even had «hydration breaks» in one of those indoors matches.
18. June 2026 at 20:20 #12003They even had «hydration breaks» in one of those indoors matches.
I think that if they have hydration breaks in some games they need to have them in all of them.
But I don’t think they should have them at all. Yes, they are back door ad breaks. There needs to be more care in deciding where the tournaments are held – including whether they are practical in terms of heat and humidity. Rather than being driven by financial considerations.
18. June 2026 at 22:03 #12007The players should walk over to one side, grab some bottles and have a guzzle for about 1 minute. The managers and coaching staff shouldn’t be allowed to go near them. It should be over and done with after the quick “rehydration”.
Infantino!!! How do FIFA keep finding these corrupt fuckers!! Do they have a conveyor belt 🤬18. June 2026 at 22:23 #12008I don’t mind the hydration breaks at all. Sure, they are just a commercial break sold as a health benefit, but if they make the game more strategic because teams have now the chance for a short briefing and readjustment I’m all for it.
19. June 2026 at 22:05 #12014Mexico and UK TV are not showing adverts during the cynical hydration break$$$.
Good for us…and them 👍20. June 2026 at 22:38 #12031Sweden took a hell of a beating from the Netherlands, but I’m pretty sure they’re through anyway.
Germany struggling against the Ivory Coast at the moment, down 0-1.
21. June 2026 at 00:43 #12036The Ivory Coast was most of the time really better. They would have deserved to win, too.
21. June 2026 at 01:41 #12037Not true. But the first goal Ivory Coast scored was great.
22. June 2026 at 16:23 #12078Norway is playing Senegal tonight, at 02:00. Should I stay up to 4:00, or let it go? Ooooh, difficult choice.
22. June 2026 at 16:28 #12079I will stay up.
22. June 2026 at 17:37 #12082That’s the real committment! Glad you watch it so I don’t have to 😉
