One of these days, I’d love to learn more about Space-Age music.

I found Soil Festivities a rather difficult album to get into. But I know it was an inspiration for Jonathan Elias when he made Requiem For The Americas.

I have personally always loved SOIL FESTIVITIES.

It may have been my first “real” Vangelis album (after the New American Orchestra BLADE RUNNER album).

Sorry, I’ve never been able to warm to SOIL FESTIVITIES. A bit stark. Maybe some day.

Such a lovely score. Super melodic, warm orchestral consonance. Even if I have no interest in Miss Marple (watched some as a kid, not keen on traditional crime these days). I like Scherrer (THE HONEYTRAP and BOAT STORY are two others worth recommending).

The old Ron Goodwin theme is of course a classic and one of my first film theme memories. Not familiar with Scherrer or this Marple version. First notice him with this weird British dinosaur time travel TV show PRIMEVAL I think. If anyone knows that…

Interesting, it’s always been on of my favorite Vangelis albums, and I find it warm, with fluid, melodic soundscapes.
His next album, INVISIVLE CONNECTIONS (which I also like a lot) is maybe a bit stark, but I find SOIL FESTIVITIES quite the opposite.

Enjoyable early 90s synth pop produced by Stephen Hague.
