Soft Focus is kind of like a fore-runner to Jade from THE ROCK, by the way.
The 60/30 second versions are also interesting. It’s an artform in itself to say a lot musically in such a short time.
Ozawa’s Prokofiev cycle only got mediocre reviews… I’m no expert on Prokofiev Symphony recordings, but I really like this recording of Symphony No. 2.
When I think about it, I can perfectly well understand that ALLO! ALLO! was not a hit in Germany in the 80s. I’ve considered re-watching it, because I have so many fond, nostalgic memories of it. But I also fear it’s too hysterial/frenetic. Anyways, I’m off-topic again.
I just looked it up. I thought it may have had a German title so I didn’t realize I heard of it. We were always behind with series but it seems it did air the first time in 2010 on a rather niche private broadcaster!
This oozes so much 60s vibe from my speakers, I hope I don’t have to wipe up after listening.
