Looks like I just got banned at JWfan for a rather unkind, but not unearned, post in the Mike Verta thread. I think I’m done there for good.
For something you wrote in 2025 (providing you were ‘Jazzynips’ and posted about those corona statements)? Or did they remove some more recent post?
Jazzynips is another user. This was for a post today (deleted by the mods, wherein I tangentially called him a dweeb) as Verta showed up in the forum to offer some non-statement about how everyone is secretly an asshole, but some are better at hiding it than others. I’ve read his Twitter threads. He is most certainly an asshole. He is most certainly bad at hiding it. About 80% of the people who post there regularly could leave, and that forum would be a lot better for it. Anyway, I’ve been looking for an excuse to leave, and now I have it.
Ah, OK. I do remember being disappointed to read those anti-vaccine tweets from Verta back in 2025 (as they were forwarded to us in that thread), but then I forgot all about it, and then when I looked at it again now, I was disappointed all over again. I’ve always had so much respect for him as one of our best pastiche composers. It’s like Deborah Lurie, who’s also gone off the rails regarding this.
I remember reading that topic back then as well (didn’t know about Lurie…). FORBIDDEN WARRIOR was indeed a good Williams pastiche. But many people unexpectley turn to the “other side” everywhere…

Anyway, back to the music. I just got 10 Boston pops CDs, and my Polydor Star Wars is in the mail downstairs.
I notice on FSM this Iranian guy who keeps coming back to ask for people to identify a music clip, and when they can’t, he gets all angry. He even posted a dick pic there today. What’s this phenomenon? Is it a bot? A real, troubled person? Just a troll? What?
Unsure… I considered the bot-troll option, but it would be a very complex bot (more complex than it seems), and it would give very little in return, so I don’t think anyone would bother to create such a bot (and the people who actually could create such a bot probably have better things to do than to troll at FSM).
Most likely it is just a troll who gets his kicks out of it… which just goes to show you what loony nutcases are out there in the world
