I find it highly problematic to put Rowling and Cosby into one pot. One was in court for rape, the other one just has a controversial point of view and stands in for it. The one thing is legally relevant and handled by court, the other one is handled by the cancel mob. You might not like both. But the degree of “being problematic” is veeery different.
AGREED
PASSION is not pure synth though. It’s the sax and trumpet solos that make that track so great.
That theme from PASSION (Perversions & Diversions) is wonderful. BODY DOUBLE and BARBARIANS are great too.
I will be watching the new RUNNING MAN on monday. A pity that there is no trace of HF in the film. I wouldn’t be surprised if Price hasn’t even heard the old score.
This is what HF has been doing recently:
That Vangelis album has grown on me over the years, after initially being lukewarm.
It was the first time I listened to it. It absolutely had its moments.

1980
I seem to remember that he went all synthpop in a scene in BEVERLY HILLS MADAM from 1986!

Ultravox – Uvox (1986)
Most interesting Tamahori-composer for me is probably Mark Isham on NEXT.
But my favourite track is unquestionably the “Main Titles” — those moody & poetic synth chords, conjuring a city waking up at dawn, before it kicks into the rhythmical bit as the hustle and bustle begins. JNH was so good (well, hopefully still is) at capturing cityscapes in his music. Those associations are not that far removed from how the cue was actually used in the film, if memory serves. It’s been a while since I saw it.
Agreed about the main titles. Me and my mates played it so many times in the 90s.
I believe there is a basketball scene during parts of the main titles.
The Wolverines 😎
They still have a chance of promotion qualification to level 2.
TWO MOON JUNCTION (1988) by Jonathan Elias.
Probably on my Top 5 soundtrack list.Meeting a couple of mates at six o’clock this evening at a pub. An hour or so later we are going to a live podcast/show at another place, about our local football team.
Tomorrow I am going to a match with said football team, before we eat at a local restaurant and then going to the cinema for seeing the new Springsteen film.
Sunday it’s dinner at my mother’s place.
So should be an enjoyable weekend.
I remember Pessi’s name from the great film DE USKYLDIGE. I don’t remember the score though.
More FSOL/Orbital/Aphex Twin

Great (although slightly uneven album) ambient/house/trance from 1999. Creator Lars Marcus Jungnell now lives in my city.
I wonder why my list of favorite composers from the old profile is not carried over to the new one?

Now I could post…
I can’t seem to be able to post a new thread on fsm? How do you do it?
RIP Doldinger.
His 1983 album Constellations seems like a TD/Jarre clone!
I love the track Daulton Lee.
James visiting Hans in the studio. Nick Glennie-Smith appearing at the end
Is THE LOST BUS not coming to theaters?
But you are still an atheist, Thor? 😎
I have that Flatliners boot. Too harsh for my taste.
Totally blank. Came to think of it, I don’t think I have a single album by a spanish music artist in my collection.
I know of Neuronium/Michel Huygen.
